![]() ![]() ![]() macrhi installer engine is doing what it is designed to do and putting the assemblies in the MacPlugIns folder. If I had the money I would probably add KeyShot to my collection as I do really like it, but I’m getting along fine with Modo and it also gives me other options apart from just rendering. I know this probably doesn’t clear up any confusion and it certainly doesn’t solve the Keyshot issue. Exporting from Rhino is not too complicated, and once you get the hang of Modo’s renderer you can get some really nice results. (Incompatible plugins ought to be reported as such…usually in Rhino 5 for Mac). Version 1.4 (4-15-2019) Hidden status of layers with non-hidden sublayers is now respected. LiveLinking no longer breaks after toggling hide/show in Rhino. Version 1.5 (9-17-2019) Added support for Rhino 6 on Mac. Since most RhinoCommon plugins will be compatible with both 5 and 6, you should be good. Version 1.7 (11-13-2019) Rhino 6 support for Rhino plugin on Mac. Ok, back to ~/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/MacPlugIns …both Rhino 5 for Mac and Rhino 6 for Mac will attempt to load assemblies from this folder. But if you dig into those Plug-ins subfolders you will find settings files, but they should not contain assemblies that we load. I know it contains a subfolder called Plug-ins which is confusing to me. The ~/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/6.0 folder is for settings. ~/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/MacPlugIns is the folder for both Rhino 5 for Mac and Rhino 6 for Mac. In short, there is no version specific plugin folder. (So confusing that I sometimes forget what the situation is until I look at source again). ![]() The situation with ~/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/ … is confusing. I’m sorry to say that I don’t know what is going on with Keyshot, but I do want to (temporarily) clear up a bit of confusion. ![]()
